What does it look like to have completely natural skincare products and Young Living? It looks like radiant skin, smaller pores, fewer wrinkles, a more even complexion, and a whole lot of fun.
It also looks a little like this:
and even more like this:
(Just a note: we were all smiling greatly on the inside, but our faces had solidified to a point where we couldn’t outwardly smile.)
Let me explain:
I absolutely love Young Living for their essential oils. That’s why I started my membership with this company, and that will always be my first love. But I also realized that there are so many more amazing items that Young Living has to offer besides just essential oils. About a year ago, I started trying out the different beauty items, such as shampoos and conditioners, lotions, creams, cleansers, masques, and even shaving items. I quickly became hooked, and I was so excited to teach a beauty class at a local business, Beautiful You (I have been a customer with them just as long as I’ve been a YL member). By the way, the owner Christine is also a Young Living Member!
For my next class, I will have much more professional pictures of the setup, but for now, I just wanted to show you what I had available.
Along the far side, I had several of the raw ingredients that I use on a daily basis for my homemade mixes and blends: castile soap, mini containers, coconut oil, bentonite clay, apple cider vinegar, and witch hazel.
We also had homemade recipes for makeup remover, face wash, face mask, and whipped body butter while also featuring Young Living’s ART line (cleaner, toner, and light moisturizer), Satin Facial Scrub, Animal Scents Ointment, Wolfberry Eye Cream, Boswellia Wrinkle Cream, Rose Ointment, and Sandalwood Moisture Cream.
Along the far side, we had several other items that can be used on the skin: Cool Azule Pain Relif Cream, Mirah Shave Oil, LavaDerm, Shutran Shave Cream, Essential Beauty Serum, several lotions, bath and shower gels, and the Lavender Foaming Hand Soap.
We also had several other supplies handy: washcloths, welcome books, epsom salt, coconut water and NingXia Red, WaterWipes, and a few other goodies.
Finally, we also had our Dewdrop Diffuser with 1 drop of lemongrass, a lineup of our favorite skin-benefitting essential oils, and headbands to keep our hair out of our face.
In case you would like to set up your own beauty class, I have created a checklist so that you can bring the most important things. I would recommend using multiple variations of each type of product (to give the participants some choice), but I also tell my members to use what you have. That way you can talk from experience in using the product.
We started the class with a little introduction and information about why we want to protect our skin and be careful about the products that we use. We then quickly moved into talking about both Young Living options and some recipes that we can use that feature YL products and oils. I love to have interactive classes, so we all got to try out cucumber eye treatments (literally just cool cucumbers over the eyes), the homemade makeup remover, Satin Facial Scrub, cleanser (their choice of a homemade recipe or the ART Foaming Cleanser), homemade face mask, and then their choice of moisturizer or serum.
